Government Assistance

Government Assistance

You may qualify for support through government-funded programs such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for permanent and significant disabilities, or My Aged Care for older Australians. Short-term home care may also be available through hospital discharge programs. We can help you understand eligibility and navigate these options.

The Australian Government offers several key funding streams to support individuals at home. NDIS provides tailored funding for people aged 7-65 with permanent and significant disabilities, covering a wide range of supports from daily activities to community access. For those 65 and over, My Aged Care manages government funding through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme for entry-level needs and the more flexible Home Care Package program, offering four levels of care. Additionally, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) may fund home support for injuries incurred in a transport accident, subject to approval. Short-term assistance can also be accessed via Post-Acute Care and Transition Care programs after hospital discharge, as discussed with your hospital team.

  • NDIS: For individuals aged 7-65 with permanent and significant disabilities, offering personalised funding for a broad range of supports.
  • My Aged Care: Supports Australians aged 65+ through programs like the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and flexible Home Care Packages.
  • Transport Accident Commission (TAC): Funds home support for injuries incurred in transport accidents, subject to approval.
  • Hospital Programs: Short-term post-acute and transition care programs available for those discharged from hospital requiring temporary home support.
Private & Flexible Funding

Private & Flexible Funding

Private payment offers immediate, fully tailored access to services. You simply pay an hourly rate for the support you need, with the flexibility to combine it with government funding for additional services or greater choice. Empower your care journey with private funding.

Opting for private funding provides immediate and highly flexible in-home care. We charge a straightforward hourly rate, allowing you to choose as much or as little support as you desire without being tied to fixed contracts. Our dedicated Care Managers will collaborate with you to identify your specific needs, match you with an ideal carer, and continuously oversee your care to ensure it always aligns with your preferences. This option is perfect for supplementing existing government funding or for complete autonomy over your care arrangements.

  • Immediate Access: Begin receiving support without waiting for government assessments or approvals.
  • Tailored to You: Customise services precisely to your unique needs and preferences.
  • Flexible & No Lock-in Contracts: Pay an hourly rate for the support you want, with no long-term commitments.

  • Personalised Care Management: Our Care Managers ensure your support remains perfectly suited to your evolving situation.

What is the NDIS and how does it help with funding?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides tailored funding to Australians aged 7-65 with permanent and significant disabilities. This funding is designed to cover a wide range of supports, including daily activities, personal care, household tasks, and community access, all aimed at helping participants achieve their individual goals and live more independently. We work closely with NDIS participants to ensure their funding is used effectively for their needs.

Can I use My Aged Care funding with your services?

Yes, for Australians aged 65 and over, My Aged Care manages government funding for home support. This includes programs like the Commonwealth Home Support Programme for entry-level assistance and the more comprehensive Home Care Package program. We are an approved provider for both of these, and can help you understand how your My Aged Care funding can be used to access our services, whether it's for personal care, household help, or other home support.

What are the benefits of private funding for home care?

Private funding offers immediate access to services, giving you complete flexibility and control over your care. You can choose precisely the amount and type of support you need, without being tied to government eligibility criteria or waiting times. It's an excellent option for supplementing government funding, receiving additional services, or for those who prefer full autonomy over their care arrangements. We offer a clear hourly rate, with no lock-in contracts.

Can I combine government funding (like NDIS) with private payments?

Absolutely. Combining government funding with private payments is a flexible approach that many of our clients utilise. This allows you to maximise your NDIS or My Aged Care funding for core supports, and then use private payments to access additional services, extra hours of support, or specific types of care that might fall outside government program guidelines. It provides greater choice and ensures all your in-home care needs are met.

Do you accept funding from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) or hospital programs?

Yes, we are able to provide services to individuals whose home support is funded through the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) due to injuries from a transport accident, pending their approval. We also work with clients who are accessing short-term support through Post-Acute Care and Transition Care programs upon discharge from hospital. If you're receiving funding through these avenues, please discuss it with your case manager or hospital team, and then contact us to arrange your services.
